The Art of Profiling – Theories of Personality

What is personality? Are personality and character the same and can be used interchangeably? Are personality differences due to nature or nurture? How does personality influence our behaviors? 
This course will allow learners to familiarize themselves with a variety of personality theories, and how they can be applied to one’s personal and professional lives. The course will also discuss popular personality tests such as the “BIG-5”, “Myers-Briggs”, and the “DISC Profile”. Most important, learners will discuss the relevance of personality at the workplace but discussing how personality influences the way employees think, feel, and behave.

Dr Anil

Associate Lecturer and Coach
Mr Anil is currently an associate lecturer and coach with more than 10 years of experience at various government and private institutions. He is a highly versatile educator and trainer in the areas of Counselling, Psychology and Sociology. Prior to lecturing full-time, Anil was a Community Outreach Manager with the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS), Institute of Mental Health (IMH), and an Executive Director of a community drug rehabilitation centre. Mr Anil holds a Master of Social Sciences from National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Graduate Certificate in Social Sciences (Professional Counselling) from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT).
